Zhetysu Airlines, owned by the regional akimat, reported a net loss of 770.3 million tenge for 2025, up nearly 5.8 times from 133.9 million tenge a year earlier, according to infohub.kz.
The company's financial statements show accumulated uncovered losses reached 4.4 billion tenge by the end of 2025. Revenue more than halved to 101.6 million tenge from 205.2 million tenge in 2024, while selling expenses amounted to 1.2 billion tenge and 1.7 billion tenge, respectively.
State subsidies also dropped sharply, from 1.6 billion tenge in 2024 to 436.5 million tenge in 2025. The airline's schedule lists flights from Astana to Taldykorgan operated by VietJet Qazaqstan (Sovico), Almaty to Usharal (SCAT on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays), and Astana to Usharal (VietJet Qazaqstan on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays).
The sole shareholder of Zhetysu Airlines is the akimat of the Zhetysu region, represented by its finance department. The company provides passenger, baggage, cargo, and mail transportation, performs aviation works with civil aircraft, and offers aircraft maintenance services.
