Renowned Kazakh journalist, poet, and laureate of the Journalists' Union of Kazakhstan award Zholaman Boshalak has passed away in the Mangystau region, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Center for Public Communications of the Mangystau region, a significant part of Boshalak's life and career, who was born in 1943 in the village of Turgyzba in the Emba district of Atyrau region, was closely linked to the Mangystau region. He worked in journalism for many years, making a special contribution to the development of regional television and press.
Over the years, he worked at the Mangystau regional television and radio company, the newspapers "Kommunistik Zhol" and "Mangystau", and also as a correspondent for the newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan" in the region, widely covering the region's life in the information space. Particularly during his tenure as editor of the newspaper "Mangystau", he made a significant contribution to the development of journalism in the region.
"Zholaman Boshalak is a representative of the older generation who earned the respect of his colleagues through his dedication to professional journalism, writing skill, and civic stance. His contribution to the development of regional journalism and the creative legacy left to future generations will remain in the people's memory. We express our deep condolences to his family, relatives, colleagues, and friends. May his resting place be peaceful," the Center noted.
