Mukhtar Jakishev's Daughter Responds to Criticism Over Interracial Marriage
Altinay Jakisheva, the daughter of prominent businessman and former head of Kazatomprom, Mukhtar Jakishev, has issued a public statement addressing the criticism surrounding her recent wedding in London. The marriage, to a foreign national, sparked considerable debate online, prompting Jakisheva to share her perspective on love and acceptance.
Love Knows No Borders
In a heartfelt message posted on social media, Jakisheva emphasized that love transcends nationality, race, and borders. She stated that love is a pure, beautiful, and eternal emotion that exists beyond the confines of life, death, space, and time. "Love does not adhere to any conditions, expectations, or limitations. It knows no nationality, no race, and no borders," she wrote.
The True Nature of Love
Jakisheva believes that love is the true essence of human nature and the only reality in life. She expressed sadness for those who live with hatred, fear, and anger, suggesting that such emotions are learned rather than inherent. "If this world has taught you to hate, I am sorry. If it has made you cruel, instilled malice in your heart, and forced you to live in fear, I am sorry for that too," she stated.
She further elaborated that when individuals experience true love, they realize that other worldly concerns become less significant. "Love is our true nature. We were created for love. We are born from love and, in the end, we return to love," Jakisheva concluded.
Family Support
Concluding her message, Altinay wished her readers peace and sent them love. This statement comes after her father, Mukhtar Jakishev, publicly declared his full support for his daughter's choice. He spoke warmly of his new son-in-law and stressed that his daughter's happiness is his utmost priority. Jakishev mentioned that he liked his new in-laws.
Despite the groom's family having lived in the UK for over seventy years, they attended the wedding in traditional attire, showcasing respect for their historical roots. Mukhtar Jakishev also engaged in discussions about the global economy with the groom's father, Henry, who works as an investment banker.
For context, Mukhtar Jakishev led the national company Kazatomprom from 1998 to 2009. He was convicted of corruption offenses in 2010 and sentenced to 14 years in prison, but was released early in 2020.
