Actor from 'Jumanji' and 'Top Gun: Maverick' Fatally Stabbed in Los Angeles
Veteran American actor James Handy has tragically died after being fatally stabbed in Los Angeles. The 81-year-old performer, recognized for his supporting roles in popular films and television shows from the 1980s and 90s, was found injured at his home.
The incident occurred on the morning of June 3rd when police responded to a call at a residence in the Tarzana neighborhood. Authorities discovered Handy in his yard with stab wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, medical professionals were unable to save his life.
Suspect Apprehended
Authorities have arrested a 44-year-old suspect, identified as Michael Gledhill, in connection with the stabbing. Reports indicate that Gledhill turned himself in to the police, having been a person of interest. He has been charged with murder, and bail has been set at two million dollars.
According to American media outlets, Gledhill is reportedly the son of a woman who previously had a relationship with the actor.
