Kazakh Lawyer Collects Cases of Unfair Court Decisions for President

Kazakhstani lawyer Sholpan Ismailova has launched an initiative to collect citizens' complaints regarding shortcomings and unfair decisions within the judicial system. These collected grievances are intended to be forwarded to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Ismailova announced on her social media page that an opportunity has arisen to escalate information about judicial errors, unlawful decisions, or unjust verdicts to a higher level. The Presidential Administration has reportedly requested materials for review of such cases.

Appeals Regarding Court Decisions

According to Ismailova, citizens who believe there were legal violations in their cases or who doubt the legality and fairness of court rulings are encouraged to contact her or leave comments under her social media posts. The lawyer emphasized that this initiative is not merely for disagreeing with a decision, but specifically for situations involving significant issues related to legality and justice.

Call for Citizen Engagement

"I believe that only through joint efforts can we achieve an increase in the quality of judicial justice and strengthen the principle of the rule of law," Ismailova stated. She urged those who support her views and wish for their case-related problems to be heard to come forward and report them.

Previously, on June 4th, Ismailova published an appeal from lawyers to President Tokayev, expressing concerns that citizens are beginning to lose faith in judicial justice.

This initiative aims to address systemic issues within the courts and restore public trust in the legal process.
