Kazakhtelecom Executives Earn Over 752 Million Tenge in Bonuses

Bagdat Musin, the Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC, along with other top executives, received significant remuneration totaling 752.3 million tenge for the results of 2025. This figure encompasses salaries and other payments, as revealed by the company's financial reporting.

Kazakhtelecom Reports Nearly Double Net Profit

In 2025, Kazakhtelecom achieved a net profit of 146.9 billion tenge, marking a nearly twofold increase compared to the previous year's 77.2 billion tenge. The company's revenue from its core operations also saw growth, rising from 482.9 billion tenge to 568.2 billion tenge. When factoring in subsidies and compensations for universal services in rural areas, the total revenue approached 587 billion tenge.

Increased Cost of Services Amidst Profit Growth

Despite the rise in revenue and profit, the cost of services also increased, growing from 384.9 billion tenge to 457.7 billion tenge. Nevertheless, the company managed to boost its operating profit by over 50%, reaching 94.5 billion tenge.

Impact of One-Off Gains on Profitability

A significant factor contributing to the growth in net profit was revenue from what is termed 'discontinued operations.' This category includes one-time income sources such as the sale of assets or business restructuring. Income from these activities exceeded 107 billion tenge, doubling the previous year's figure.

Financial Expenses and Currency Fluctuations

Additionally, the operator's financial expenses rose from 39.7 billion tenge to 51.3 billion tenge. The company also incurred losses of approximately 16.7 billion tenge due to currency exchange rate fluctuations. This highlights the sector's dependence on imported equipment and vulnerability to currency volatility.
