Mysterious Oasis Discovered in Mangystau Desert: A Hidden Tourist Gem

A remarkable natural wonder, previously unknown to many, has been discovered hidden within the arid landscapes of the Mangystau region. The Onere spring, located within the boundaries of the National Park, is emerging as a significant water source for local wildlife and a burgeoning tourist destination.

A Natural Oasis in the Arid Zone

The Onere spring is a unique natural attraction nestled in a desert environment. It serves as a crucial water source for a variety of wild animals and birds, fostering a distinct ecosystem around it. Visitors can observe rare plant and animal species characteristic of the Ulytau Plateau in this secluded area.

Access and Regulations for Visitors

Situated in a specially protected zone within the National Park, the Onere spring stretches approximately 6.5 to 7 kilometers before flowing into Kendirli. It has become a popular spot for tourists visiting the Karynjaryk depression. However, access requires obtaining prior permission, and the National Park charges fees for tourist services.

To preserve its delicate environment, strict regulations are in place. Visitors are prohibited from lighting fires and littering, as the spring area is under close observation.

This discovery follows another recent social media highlight where a tourist found the ancient city of Talhiz, a UNESCO tentative list site, though access to the complex was reportedly restricted.
