Russian Student and Friend Arrested for Premeditated Father's Murder
In a shocking turn of events in Russia's Lipetsk region, an 18-year-old university student and his close friend have been arrested in connection with the premeditated murder of the student's father. The pair allegedly spent two months meticulously planning the crime before carrying it out.
A Calculated Crime
The student, identified as Artyom, a student at the Lipetsk Technical University, reportedly harbored a long-standing plan to kill his father, Alexei. He enlisted his friend, Dima, to assist in the heinous act. Together, they acquired and modified a firearm to resemble a real weapon and also prepared a knife for the planned assault.
The Fatal Encounter
On May 22nd, around 5:00 PM, Artyom's father, Alexei, arrived at the dormitory to pick up his son. However, Artyom and Dima were waiting in the car. Approximately 20 minutes into the drive, the two youths launched a brutal attack on the unsuspecting man. Despite his resistance, Dima allegedly fired several shots, while Artyom used the knife to inflict fatal wounds.
Concealing the Evidence
Following the murder, the perpetrators transported the victim's body approximately 500 meters into a nearby forest, attempting to conceal their crime. They abandoned the car at the scene. Dima then reportedly went home, while Artyom returned to his dormitory, attempting to maintain a facade of normalcy.
Investigation and Arrests
During the subsequent investigation, authorities questioned Dima, who initially attempted to mislead investigators by claiming he was at a college internship. However, under pressure, he confessed to his involvement in the murder. Artyom was apprehended later. During his interrogation, Artyom reportedly expressed no remorse for the killing, only regret that his plan was discovered so quickly.
The case is currently under review by the regional prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee. It has emerged that the two suspects have known each other for a long time, having grown up in the same village and attended the same school class.
