The National Security Committee (KNB) has confirmed the detention of Adil Bakin, the chairman of the judicial board for criminal cases at the East Kazakhstan Regional Court. This development follows earlier reports circulating on social media regarding the judge's apprehension.

Information shared online suggested that employees of the National Security Committee were conducting procedural actions related to the head of the judicial board. In response to these widespread reports, a correspondent from the Kazinform agency submitted an official inquiry to the National Security Committee.

Pre-Trial Investigation Underway

The KNB responded to the inquiry, stating, "We inform you that a pre-trial investigation is being conducted. In accordance with Article 201, Part 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, no further information will be disclosed." The response was signed by O. Bektenov, head of a KNB division.

While the committee has confirmed that a pre-trial investigation is in progress, the specific details of the criminal case, the reasons for the detention, and Bakin's procedural status remain undisclosed. Further information is expected to be released once the necessary investigative actions are completed or through official statements from law enforcement agencies.
