UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev has revealed he was a victim of theft during his visit to Italy, expressing his disappointment with the situation.

The 34-year-old fighter took to social media to share his ordeal, stating, "This is how my arrival in Italy went, and now I don't like Italy anymore. I will explain the situation here one day."

Valuable Items Missing

Makhachev detailed that his wallet and passport were taken, though fortunately, his passport was returned by the thieves. However, his most cherished items, his fight boots, were stolen from his luggage.

"The most valuable thing in my suitcase was stolen – my boots," Makhachev wrote. "If football isn't your thing, I want them back. Don't worry, everything is fine, no panic. The mat is left, I don't need anything else."

Makhachev's Championship Status

Islam Makhachev is the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion. He secured his title following a bout against Australian fighter Jack Della Maddalena. The fight, which went the full five rounds, saw Makhachev dominate on the ground to secure the victory.
