Lawyer Aiankhan Omarov، representing the family of the late Nurai Serikbay، has made a significant statement، reports infohub.kz.
According to the lawyer، some social media users have been insulting the deceased. One user posted inappropriate comments about Nurai Serikbay، who was killed by an assailant.
"An official request has been sent to the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan to identify the owner of the account that left an insulting comment on Instagram regarding the Nurai Serikbay case and to hold him accountable under the law. Anonymity on social media does not exempt from responsibility،" the lawyer wrote.
Earlier، relatives of Nurai Serikbay expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of the investigation. After reviewing the case materials، they and their lawyers identified significant violations and requested that the materials be returned for additional investigation.
The victim's family also fears that some charges may be dropped when the case goes to court.
Currently، the 28-year-old suspect has been charged with murder with extreme cruelty، stalking، and coercion into marriage.
Recall that 21-year-old Nurai Serikbay died on the evening of January 11 in Shymkent. According to the investigation، the suspect ambushed her near a store، forcibly detained her، stabbed her several times، and fled the scene.
