Darkhan Myrzabayev has been appointed Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, according to the website infohub.kz.

By a government decree, Darkhan Tleuberdyevich Myrzabayev was appointed to the post of Vice Minister of Industry and Construction, the Cabinet's press service announced.

The new vice minister was born in 1989 in the Pavlodar region. He graduated from the Kazakh National Technical University named after K. Satpayev, the National Higher School of Oil and Energy (France), the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and the China-Europe International Business School.

Myrzabayev began his career as a trainee geophysicist at PGS Kazakhstan LLP in Almaty. From 2012 to 2015, he worked as a senior field geophysicist at Schlumberger Ltd (London). Between 2015 and 2019, he successively held the positions of junior engineer and development engineer in the exploration and development department of Tarbagatai Munai LLP. In 2020, he became a program manager at Amazon EU S.A.R.L.

From 2021 to 2022, he worked as a senior consultant at Ernst & Young Consulting Services LLP. In 2022–2023, he served as acting head and then head of the Digital Technologies Department of the Pavlodar region. In 2023, he was a manager at CSI Stat LLP. In 2024, he was appointed acting director and then director of the Innovation Development Department of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry. In 2024–2025, he served as deputy chairman of the Committee for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Development of the same ministry.

From October 2025 until his new appointment, he headed the Department for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation of the Government Apparatus.
