Apple's upcoming presentation is near, and new iPhones are expected, but one of the most talked-about new products will definitely not be there. The release of AirPods with built-in cameras has been postponed, reports infohub.kz.
According to reputable insider Mark Gurman, the device will hit the market no earlier than 2027. Development of such earbuds has been reported for several years, but release dates have constantly shifted.
Recently, a rumor surfaced that the earbuds would be unveiled this fall. Even a mention of Visual Intelligence for AirPods and a short demo video were found in the code of the new macOS. However, Apple has faced a number of difficulties. As it turned out, the company is still fine-tuning production of the necessary components. Developers also need more time to train the artificial intelligence and configure the software.
Meanwhile, the company is indeed testing several versions of such AirPods. At least two models are known, with codenames B790 and B798. One of them is presumably set to become a version of AirPods Pro with cameras.
The cameras in AirPods are not for taking photos. With their help, the smart assistant Siri will be able to "see" everything happening around and answer questions about surrounding objects.
Development of AirPods with cameras first became known back in 2024. Earlier, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that mass production of such earbuds would begin in 2026.
For now, the idea raises many questions among the audience. Brand fans don't quite understand why to embed cameras in earbuds and joke about practical inconveniences. For example, how will the gadget recognize the environment if you cover it with long hair or a hat?
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle wrote that starting August 20, smartphone sales rules changed in Kazakhstan. Now the seller must check the device's IMEI code before sale, and the buyer has the right to check its status via the website.
