At the 2026 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt, the qualification rounds have concluded. Kazakh gymnast Akmaral Yerekesheva delivered strong performances, securing her spot in three finals, as reported by infohub.kz.
Over two days, gymnasts competed for places in the finals. In the all-around qualification, Yerekesheva scored 84.200 points, finishing eighth. This result earned her a place in the all-around final, where the top 18 gymnasts qualify.
In individual apparatus finals, the top eight in each event advance. Yerekesheva successfully qualified for the clubs final with a score of 29.000 points and the ribbon final with 28.350 points, placing fourth in both. In the ball exercise, she finished 16th with 26.850 points, and in the hoop, she placed 42nd with 25.700 points.
Another Kazakh gymnast, Aibota Yertaikyzy, failed to reach the finals. She finished 24th in the all-around qualification with a total of 80.650 points. Her best result was in the hoop, where she placed tenth with 28.300 points. She was 15th with clubs (27.100), 32nd with ribbon (25.050), and 33rd with ball (25.250).
The first final of the championships will take place on Friday, August 14. The all-around final featuring Yerekesheva is scheduled to start at 19:00 Kazakhstan time.
