Almaty has launched a project to create a new city park. The city administration has decided to purchase land plots totaling about 6.7 hectares in the Turksib district for state needs. The area will be turned into a green zone, reports infohub.kz.
The corresponding resolution on land acquisition has been signed by the city mayor. The list of properties subject to compulsory purchase includes three large plots in the Kairat microdistrict: plot 297/14 (1.525 hectares), plot 297/25 (3.614 hectares), and plot 297/24 (1.566 hectares).
The city authorities plan to complete the purchase and clearance of the territory by December 31, 2027. All property owners will receive compensation from the local executive body. The plots, residential houses, and other capital structures will be assessed at market value. If an owner disagrees with the proposed amount, the final compensation will be determined by the court.
