Kanye West's concert in Almaty on August 14 is expected to draw over 40,000 spectators, prompting the city's police to switch to an enhanced mode of service, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the Almaty Police Department, 40 entrances on three sides will be set up for organized entry to the stadium. Ticket validation will begin at 4:00 PM. Before entering, attendees will be searched, and only those with tickets or accreditation will be allowed inside.
"Our main task is to ensure the safety of every person who comes to the concert. We ask everyone to determine their entry group in advance and follow the instructions of police officers, security personnel, and volunteers," said Timur Nogaybayev.
On the day of the concert, police will increase patrols of the stadium and the surrounding area. After the event, public transport and additional shuttles will be provided for spectators.
Earlier, police reported that scammers are selling fake tickets online. Later, law enforcement issued recommendations to Kanye West fans on how to avoid becoming victims of fraud when purchasing tickets. The Almaty city administration announced which streets will be closed on August 14 due to the concert, and it became known that 32 buses will have altered routes.
