Police in Almaty stopped a taxi carrying three underage girls. One of them is suspected of drug distribution, according to infohub.kz.
The incident occurred in the Medeu district. The Almaty Police Department's official Instagram page noted that, according to operational data, one of the girls was selling banned substances through so-called stashes. Police commented: "According to operational data, one of them was distributing drugs through so-called stashes. The other girls were with her; investigators now need to determine the extent of their knowledge and possible involvement in the illegal activity."
During a search, the suspected distributor was found with numerous packages wrapped in colored electrical tape. Inside were plant-based substances and, according to preliminary data, synthetic drugs in crystal form. The minor admitted to leaving the banned substances in hiding places.
Police are now determining who involved the teenager in illegal activity and are finding out the details of the organization of the illegal scheme. They also need to understand why the girl decided to earn money in this way. Special attention will be paid to her upbringing and the role of her parents and close environment.
