On August 20, some residents of Almaty were left without electricity. The Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy JSC explained the cause of the emergency outage and reported on the progress of restoration work, according to the website infohub.kz.
According to the interactive map on the company's official website, electricity is currently cut off for residents of several city districts. In addition to scheduled outages marked in blue, some areas experienced an emergency outage. Thus, residents of houses located in the block bounded by Turkebaeva, Raiymbeka, Rozybakieva, and Bogenbai Batyr streets in the Almaly district, as well as on Serikova, Omarova streets, in the microdistrict and on Selskaya, Zhumabaeva, Seifulina, and Bespakova streets in the Zhetysu district, were left without power.
As reported to a NUR.KZ correspondent by Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy, temporary power outages were recorded in several districts of Almaty on August 20. In the Almaly district, at 16:20, electricity was temporarily cut off in the area of Turkebaeva, Rozybakieva, Bogenbai Batyr streets and Raiymbek Avenue. The cause was damage to two cells of the distribution point.
Company specialists promptly began work. Currently, necessary technical measures are being taken to fully restore power supply.
