A trip to Almaty, where a family from Pavlodar had come for their child's medical examination, turned into a conflict with a landlord: instead of a comfortable stay, the family faced insults and threats, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to NUR.KZ, citing the city's Police Department, the family rented the accommodation for the duration of the child's examination, but the condition of the apartment did not match the advertised terms. After the tenants left a negative review, they were contacted and told to delete the comment. The conversation ended in insults and threats.
Police in the Almaly district identified a 31-year-old man involved in the incident. The case materials were sent to court, which found the man guilty of petty hooliganism and ordered him jailed for 10 days.
"Police remind the public that any domestic disputes must be resolved exclusively within the legal framework. Threats, insults and attempts at intimidation do not go without a legal response," the department added.
