Famous Turkish actor Aras Bulut İynemli has been detained in Turkey as part of a drug trafficking investigation, according to infohub.kz.
The news was reported by NUR.KZ, citing RBC, which in turn referenced a translation of a TGRT Haber article. Aras Bulut İynemli is known to audiences for his roles in the TV series "Çukur" and "Magnificent Century."
As of the time of publication, police had detained 15 people, including the actor.
According to the supervisory authority, on September 18, the Istanbul gendarmerie was tasked with carrying out detentions, searches, and biological examinations of those involved in the case — actors, singers, entrepreneurs, business owners, and bloggers. They are then to be brought before the prosecutor's office to give testimony.
Earlier, it was reported that 22 people, including well-known actors and musicians, were detained in Istanbul in a case involving alleged drug- and prostitution-related crimes.
