The dedicated public transport lane on Abylai Khan Avenue in Astana is changing its operating schedule: from November 7 it will be in effect every day of the week, including weekends and holidays, the website infohub.kz reports.

According to the press service of the capital's akimat, the changes will affect the section from Pushkin Street to Manas Street. Previously, the lane operated only on weekdays.

"In particular, the supplementary information road sign 7.5.2 'Working days' will be dismantled. As a result, the bus lane will operate on all days of the week, including weekends and holidays. At the same time, its time schedule will remain unchanged. The bus lane will operate from 06:30 to 20:00," the akimat's statement says.

The city administration also reminded drivers of the need to strictly comply with road sign requirements and traffic regulations.

"Administrative liability is provided for violations related to the bus lane. Fines will be imposed for recorded offenses," the press service emphasized.
