The total remuneration of the members of the board of Astana International Airport for 2025 amounted to 146 million tenge, including salaries and bonuses. The board's composition varied from three to five members during the year. Compared to the previous year, payments increased by 34%, reports infohub.kz.

In December, there was a change of leadership: the post of chairman of the board was left by UAE representative Yusuf Rasheed Mohammed Aljawder, and he was replaced by former head of the Civil Aviation Committee and rector of the Civil Aviation Academy, Bekken Seidakhmetov. Also, Askar Iskuzhin joined the board. Throughout the year, Ruslan Pyshtanov and Marat Tuleshov remained on the board.

Currently, the airport's board consists of seven people. In November, it became known that the capital's akimat was negotiating the termination of cooperation with the UAE company Terminals Holding, which had been in trust management of the airport. By December, the agreement was terminated.

The capital's akim, Zhenis Kassymbek, explained that the airport needs further modernization, and the previous investor could not provide the necessary investments. According to him, the construction of a second runway and the repair of the first one require about 150–190 million dollars.
