A criminal case has been opened in Astana over a theft from a dental clinic. Despite attempting to conceal his face with a stocking, the suspect was identified by police through CCTV footage, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Astana Police Department, the intruder took advantage of the clinic being closed and entered by picking the lock. Before committing the crime, he put a black stocking over his head to avoid recognition. He stole laptops, gadgets, and a safe from the premises, with total damages amounting to about 2 million tenge.
However, despite his efforts, the man was captured by street surveillance cameras before he put on the disguise. After reviewing the footage, officers identified him as a 34-year-old local resident. A criminal case has been initiated on this matter.
