A court in Astana has ruled on the case of a man who urinated out of a building's window. He was found guilty of petty hooliganism, reports infohub.kz.

According to the press service of Astana courts, the specialized inter-district court for administrative offenses announced a ruling against citizen Zh. under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Administrative Code.

Earlier, a video circulated on social media showing a violation of public order on the stairwell of a residential building. The court specified that on August 24 at about 00:30, Zh., while on the stairwell, urinated through the entrance window onto the street, thereby committing petty hooliganism.

During the court session, Zh. admitted his guilt and repented. His guilt is confirmed by case materials and the video recording.

The sanction of Part 1 of Article 434 of the Administrative Code provides for a fine of 20 MCI (86,500 tenge), or community service for 20 to 60 hours, or administrative arrest for 5 to 15 days.

When imposing the penalty, the court took into account the nature of the act, the disrespect shown to society, and the publicity of the actions on social media. By court order, Zh. was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Administrative Code and subjected to administrative penalty in the form of administrative arrest for 10 days. The order has not yet entered into legal force.

Earlier, Astana police were searching for the man who caused a stir online by urinating out of a high-rise window.
