In Astana, a woman was attacked in an elevator by a stranger who not only touched her but also kicked her. The incident occurred after she noticed a suspicious car following her on her way home, reports infohub.kz.
A user of the social network Threads under the nickname 11gohalek said that after leaving a store, she saw a car that first stopped and then started moving. The woman assumed the driver would go straight or stop near a trash bin, so she continued walking, although she needed to turn left. However, the car headed in her direction, and she quickened her pace. When she reached the elevator, she did not recognize the man as the driver of that car. She calmly held the elevator door for him to enter.
According to the victim, in the elevator the stranger began aggressively pressing buttons, and then his hand touched her. He touched her twice, and she asked him to stop. After that, the man deliberately stood behind her and, as she was exiting, kicked her. After reviewing surveillance camera footage, the woman discovered that he had intentionally run after her to the elevator and acted deliberately.
The Astana Police Department reported that the offender's identity has been established. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against him for petty hooliganism, and the case materials have been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
