Chinese premium brand Avatr, created with the participation of Changan, Huawei and battery maker CATL, unveiled the T09 concept crossover at the Paris Motor Show, according to infohub.kz.

The Avatr T09's exterior was developed under a new design concept called Vision Xpectra. The front end is distinguished by a massive grille featuring 362 elements shaped like the brand's logo. The lighting features a two-layer faceting reminiscent of gemstone cutting. The hood area measures 2.1 square meters.

The cabin debuts the Vortex emotional interaction system — a retractable structure with curved surfaces and 118 RGB LEDs that create various lighting effects.

The front panel combines three displays: a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and two 17.2-inch screens — a central one and one in front of the passenger.

Equipment will include Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving system and the new Taihang vehicle control technology.

The powertrain comprises a 2-liter turbocharged engine and three electric motors. Total system output exceeds 1,000 hp.

The crossover is equipped with a 71.24 kWh CATL Freevoy battery. The claimed all-electric range exceeds 400 km on the CLTC cycle. The T09 thus combines the capabilities of a plug-in hybrid with a large traction battery.

The Avatr T09 launches a new flagship line for the brand, with which the Chinese company hopes to strengthen its position in the large premium crossover segment, where European manufacturers have traditionally been strong. The company notes that the new model should stand apart from current Avatr models, which are oriented toward sportiness and modern design, through more restrained styling and an emphasis on status and technology.

The model is expected to hit the market before the end of 2026. According to preliminary data, the Avatr T09 will cost around 500,000 yuan in China — roughly 37.7 million tenge. However, the crossover's prospects in other countries will depend on prices, trim levels and the adaptation of its technologies to the requirements of specific markets.

It was previously reported that Changan will merge Avatr and Deepal to cut costs. Kursiv Auto also covered the five most popular models of the Kazakh auto industry over the first nine months of 2026.
