Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC (KHC), a subsidiary of Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC, and Bank RBK JSC have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing a mechanism for conditional financing of integrated housing projects. According to Bank RBK, the partnership will expand domestic developers' access to bank lending on preferential terms and create additional opportunities for large-scale housing projects, including integrated urban development, infohub.kz reports.

Under the agreement, KHC funds will be placed with Bank RBK as conditional deposits for subsequent targeted lending to developers. Thanks to the funding provided by KHC, the bank will be able to finance integrated housing projects that meet established requirements at a preferential rate of 12.6% per annum.

The instrument is intended to lower the cost of borrowed financing, ease the financial burden on developers and improve the economic efficiency of construction projects. Priority will go to integrated housing projects that involve not individual residential buildings but full-fledged residential blocks and microdistricts with the necessary social, commercial and engineering infrastructure. This approach helps shape a modern urban environment that provides comfortable conditions for living, working and recreation.

Integrated development projects require coordinated planning of residential buildings, transport and pedestrian access, public spaces, landscaping and the improvement of territories. Particular importance is attached to compliance with established requirements and standards for integrated housing development, aimed at improving the quality of housing construction and the rational development of urban areas.

For developers, the conditional financing mechanism opens up additional opportunities to attract affordable credit resources for capital-intensive projects. For second-tier banks, cooperation with KHC allows them to expand their participation in financing the construction sector through targeted funding. Overall, the mechanism will help stimulate investment activity, develop the construction industry and increase the supply of quality housing on the market.
