The release of the superhero film "The Batman 2," starring Robert Pattinson in the lead role, has been postponed once again — the premiere is now set for February 2028, with the exact date yet to be announced. Filming has been paused due to family issues faced by director Matt Reeves, according to infohub.kz.

As Variety notes, the cast of the superhero saga includes numerous Hollywood stars: Scarlett Johansson, Colin Farrell, Sebastian Stan, Andy Serkis, and Jeffrey Wright. The film is being produced by Warner Bros. and DC Studios. The latter has supported the director and announced it is providing assistance to Reeves.

The first installment of "The Batman" with Pattinson was released in 2022. The second was initially scheduled for October 2, 2026, but the premiere was pushed to October 1, 2027. DC Studios head James Gunn explained the first delay by saying the script was not ready, and the director was given more time to work on it.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Robert Pattinson received the script for the sequel to "The Batman" in a locked safe bag with a combination lock to prevent leaks to the media.
