Over the next three days, Kazakhstan's major cities will experience changeable weather with heavy precipitation, hail, and stormy winds, according to infohub.kz.

Forecasters from Kazhydromet have provided detailed outlooks for Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent.

In Astana, August 21 will be partly cloudy with no precipitation, but fog is possible at night and in the morning. Winds will be from the northwest at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures will range from +7…+9°C at night to +21…+23°C during the day. On August 22, it will remain dry, with southwest winds of 7–12 m/s and temperatures of +10…+12°C at night and +25…+27°C during the day. August 23 will bring rain, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls, especially in the morning and afternoon. Winds will shift to the south at 7–12 m/s, with gusts up to 15 m/s during the day. Temperatures will be +13…+15°C at night and +20…+22°C during the day.

In Almaty, August 21 will be partly cloudy with no precipitation, and winds from the west and northwest at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures will be +20…+22°C at night and +30…+32°C during the day. On August 22, there is a chance of brief rain and thunderstorms in the evening, with northwest winds of 3–8 m/s and gusts up to 13 m/s during the day. Temperatures will be +17…+19°C at night and +28…+30°C during the day. August 23 will see brief rain and thunderstorms, with northwest winds of 3–8 m/s and occasional gusts up to 15 m/s. Temperatures will be +16…+18°C at night and +26…+28°C during the day.

In Shymkent, August 21 will be partly cloudy with no precipitation, and northwest winds of 8–13 m/s. Temperatures will be +19…+21°C at night and +35…+37°C during the day. On August 22, there is a chance of brief rain and thunderstorms during the day, with southwest winds of 8–13 m/s. Temperatures will be +20…+22°C at night and +32…+34°C during the day. August 23 will be dry, with southwest winds of 8–13 m/s. Temperatures will be +18…+20°C at night and +31…+33°C during the day.

Earlier, forecasters warned of possible hail and heat up to +41°C in some regions of the country.
