In the North Kazakhstan region, police officers returning from a business trip witnessed dangerous maneuvers on the busy Astana-Petropavlovsk highway, reports infohub.kz.

According to the police department of the North Kazakhstan region, road repairs are underway on a section of the highway, with traffic organized in one lane alternating in both directions. As a result, traffic density is particularly high there.

However, a 35-year-old driver of a VAZ-2107 made several attempts to overtake, forcing oncoming vehicles to abruptly change direction and speed.

The violation was recorded by officers from the police department's apparatus, who were returning from a business trip from a remote district of the region. This was reported by Lieutenant Colonel Raushan Bakeyeva from the investigation department of the regional police. According to her, the information and video recording were immediately transmitted to the patrol police battalion crew serving this section.

The officers brought the driver to administrative responsibility. Creating an emergency situation entails a fine of 10 MCI (43,250 tenge). For a repeated violation within a year, the penalty will be deprivation of the right to drive for 6 months.

In a conversation with the police officer, the driver explained his behavior on the road.

"I was just tired after work," the man said.
