Kazakhstani forward Dastan Satpayev has expressed his gratitude to his compatriots for their support. His interview was published on Burnley's YouTube channel.

The Kairat academy graduate left the Almaty club in June to join English side Chelsea. He underwent pre-season training with the London club but then moved to Burnley on a season-long loan.

On social media of both clubs, Kazakhstani fans actively supported Satpayev. In an interview with Burnley's press service, the 18-year-old footballer left them a message.

"Thank you so much for such support! When I was on pre-season with Chelsea, they supported me in every game, under every post. I'm happy to have such wonderful people. I love them because this is my country. For them, I will prove that we deserve to be in European football," Satpayev said.

He also noted the support from Burnley fans. The footballer intends to help the team return from the Championship to the English Premier League.

"I'm very glad that the fans are happy about my transfer. Now I need to prove to them and to myself that I can help the club get back to the Premier League. And I will do it," Satpayev said.

The Kazakhstani has not yet made his debut for Burnley. This could happen on August 23, when the team plays away against West Bromwich Albion in the second round of the Championship. The match starts at 16:00 Astana time.

"I'm really looking forward to this moment. I think the best training is a game. Footballers wait all week for the match. And I'm waiting for my debut. We will try to take three points. I'm sure that with the support of our fans we will win," Satpayev stressed.

In the first round of the Championship, the Kazakhstani was not included in Burnley's squad. Without him, the team came back from 0-2 to draw 2-2 against West Ham.
