Police in Astana have cracked down on the sale of potent substances at a nightlife venue. Ready-to-sell "balls" were found at the bar, according to infohub.kz.
According to information published on the Instagram account of the Astana police department, during a raid on entertainment venues in the capital, officers uncovered the illegal circulation of potent substances that are not classified as narcotics.
"In one of the nightlife venues, so-called 'balls' were sold directly at the bar. A special room was designated for customers to consume them," the statement said.
During the inspection, police seized three canisters and ready-to-sell "balls." A 22-year-old administrator of the establishment was found to be involved in their sale.
"A criminal case has been opened on this fact, and all circumstances of the incident are being established," police added. The police reminded about criminal liability for the illegal circulation of potent substances.
"Any substances that alter consciousness pose a serious danger to mental health and well-being. All identified violations will be strictly suppressed within the framework of current legislation," the department warned.
