A woman in the Akmola region was detained for driving under the influence of alcohol without a valid driver's license. She explained her decision as an attempt to help friends get home after a party, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred on August 24 at about 02:27 in the village of Bulandy. Patrol police officers noticed an Audi B4 and decided to check it. However, the driver ignored the order to stop and continued driving, increasing speed.
The car was finally stopped in the courtyard of a residential building. The driver turned out to be a woman. During document checks, police found she had no driving license. Additionally, officers detected a strong smell of alcohol when speaking with her.
The detainee explained that she had been meeting with friends, and during the gathering everyone consumed alcohol. After that, she decided to drive her friends home. The car belongs to the detainee.
Legal measures have been taken against the woman for the offense.
