A magnitude 4.9 earthquake has been recorded 200 kilometers from Pavlodar, reports infohub.kz.
The tremor occurred in the border area between Kazakhstan and Russia. The epicenter was located 200 kilometers northeast of Pavlodar.
The earthquake was registered on July 18 at 02:09 Astana time.
According to the Data Center of the Institute of Geophysical Research of the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan, the seismic event's hypocenter was located in the border zone between Russia and Kazakhstan. The epicenter coordinates are 53.36°N, 77.96°E.
The earthquake had a magnitude of mb 4.9, with an energy class of K 10.9.
