Information has spread on social media that in the Almaty region, an employee of a Public Services Center (TsON) caused a fatal traffic accident while driving a company car. The National Company 'State Corporation 'Government for Citizens'' has commented on the incident, reports infohub.kz.
According to the publication, the TsON employee hit a woman with the company car, and she later died in the hospital. It is also claimed that the branch director allegedly concealed the fact. 'The company car was found at a service station, the scene of the accident was left, and recently the specialist was caught and detained,' the message says.
It is specified that the accident occurred in the Enbekshikazakh district, in the village of Shelek, at night, during non-working hours. The State Corporation 'Government for Citizens' confirmed that on August 11, 2026, a traffic accident occurred in the Almaty region involving an employee of the branch in a company vehicle.
'After receiving information about the incident, the corporation conducted an internal investigation within its competence, during which an assessment was made of the actions of officials, the level of internal control, and the organization of the operation of company vehicles,' the 'Government for Citizens' reported.
According to the corporation, disciplinary measures were applied to officials following the internal investigation. The deputy director of the branch for general affairs was brought to disciplinary responsibility for improper organization of control over the operation of company vehicles in the supervised area, as well as improper provision of completeness and objectivity of official information. The branch director was brought to disciplinary responsibility for improper performance of official duties in terms of general management and control over the branch's activities, organization of the internal control system, and ensuring the safety and intended use of property.
'At the same time, the issue of legal liability of the employee who was driving the company vehicle and caused the accident with grave consequences falls exclusively within the competence of law enforcement and judicial authorities. The degree and nature of responsibility will be determined in the course of criminal proceedings and trial in accordance with current legislation. The State Corporation expresses deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,' the 'Government for Citizens' noted.
