A fire broke out in two private houses in the Alatau district of Almaty. Firefighters took more than two hours to contain and extinguish the flames, preventing them from spreading to neighboring buildings, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred on August 12 on Raiymbek Avenue. According to the press service of the Almaty Police Department, fire crews promptly arrived at the scene and began reconnaissance and firefighting. Specialists, including those using aerial equipment, assessed the situation and focused efforts on preventing the spread of the fire.
While firefighters battled the blaze, local police inspectors organized the evacuation of residents from nearby houses. Patrol officers ensured safety in the surrounding area and moved vehicles to a safe distance. The firefighting effort lasted more than two hours. The main goal was to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent structures.
As a result, the fire was completely extinguished. There were no casualties. The area of the fire and its cause are being determined. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the relevant services.
