A passenger train derailed in the Seine-Maritime department in northwestern France, injuring 44 people, one of them seriously, according to infohub.kz.
NUR.KZ, citing Anadolu, reports that French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot announced the incident on social media platform X. The minister said the train, traveling from Rouen to Caen, derailed in the commune of Cléon.
Tabarot said 140 firefighters were dispatched to the scene to assist the injured and passengers. A total of 180 passengers were on board the train.
The minister noted that he is closely monitoring the situation but did not provide information on the cause of the incident.
French media report that an investigation has been launched into the derailment. According to the Rouen prosecutor's office, 44 people were injured in the incident, with one in serious condition.
