Geely has launched pre-orders for its new flagship sedan, the Preface L Plus. The model features a hybrid powertrain and is offered in four trims, with a starting price in China of 125,700 yuan — about 8.4 million tenge, according to infohub.kz.
The new model is built on the CMA architecture. The sedan measures 4956 x 1915 x 1505 mm, with a wheelbase of 2845 mm. It has independent suspension, and higher-end versions offer an adaptive CCD system with three operating modes.
The exterior of the Preface L Plus follows the familiar styling of the Preface lineup. Up front is a large grille with vertical slats, while the rear features full-width taillights and a small spoiler. The top version also gets a lidar above the windshield.
Inside, there is a 15.4-inch 2.5K screen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system runs on Flyme Auto 2, and equipment includes the EVA voice assistant.
In addition, the sedan can be equipped with a 16.6-inch projection display, wireless charging, and 256-color ambient lighting. Higher trims offer a Flyme Sound audio system with 23 speakers, as well as ventilated and massaging seats.
Geely also highlights the electronic assistance package. The top version uses the G-Kaiyuan H5 system with lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. It supports urban and highway driving assistance functions.
All four Preface L Plus versions come standard with the i-HEV system at launch. It combines a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 163 hp and a 175 kW (238 hp) electric drive.
The traction battery has a small capacity and does not support external charging — it is replenished by the engine and regenerative braking. The front-wheel-drive sedan has a top speed of 180 km/h and a claimed fuel consumption of 4 liters per 100 km on the WLTC cycle.
In its home market, the Geely Preface L Plus is offered in four versions. Official pre-sale prices are as follows: base — 125,700 yuan (≈8.4 million tenge), second — 135,700 (≈9 million tenge), third — 145,700 (≈9.7 million tenge), top — 155,700 (≈10.4 million tenge).
Versions with conventional 1.5- and 2.0-liter internal combustion engines have also been announced for the model, but their launch dates have not yet been disclosed.
In Kazakhstan, the current Geely Galaxy Preface is on sale with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The model is available in two trims, GL and GF, from 11.3 million and 12.2 million tenge, respectively.
Earlier, Kursiv Auto reported that the "Xiaomi SU7 killer" Geely Galaxy TT entered the Chinese market from 8.7 million tenge.
