In Almaty, eyewitnesses filmed an unusual road procession: a Gelandewagen with a trailer carrying a huge bouquet of roses. The video quickly spread on social media, sparking heated discussions, reports infohub.kz.
The footage shows a car moving through the night city, with a giant flower arrangement of red roses mounted on the trailer. In the center of the bouquet, the name of the recipient, 'Milana', is spelled out in white roses.
Reactions on social media were divided along gender lines. Women mostly admired the suitor's generosity and admitted they would be happy to receive such a gift. Men, on the other hand, considered the gesture a waste of money and mocked the giver, calling him henpecked. One commenter even suggested buying something useful for himself and his mother instead of flowers.
It is worth noting that after holidays such as February 14 or March 8, advertisements for the sale of huge expensive bouquets often appear online. For example, on the OLX platform, one can find such offers from women who received flowers as gifts. Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle published a selection of similar ads.
In addition, Kazakh musician DASHXX compiled an anti-rating of flower arrangements that should not be given to girls. The first place in this list was taken by a bouquet of 101 roses.
