A magnitude 4.1 seismic event was recorded in southern Lebanon, coinciding with the detonation of underground infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah movement by Israeli forces, infohub.kz reports.
According to NUR.KZ, citing RIA Novosti, the United States Geological Survey registered a seismic event equivalent to a magnitude 4.1 earthquake. The epicenter was located southwest of the settlement of Nabatieh at-Tahta in southern Lebanon, with a focal depth of ten kilometers.
Israeli authorities said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed strategic underground infrastructure of the Hezbollah movement on Thursday evening.
Footage of the detonation of the Ali Taher ridge circulated on social media. According to the authors of the posts, the explosions were so powerful that they triggered a magnitude 4.1 earthquake in southern Lebanon, as evidenced by data from the United States Geological Survey.
