The season finale of the fantasy series "House of the Dragon" drew strong viewer interest, nearly matching the premiere's numbers on HBO and streaming service Max, according to infohub.kz.
Warner Bros. Discovery reported that the finale, which aired on August 9, amassed 21 million views across Max and HBO in its first three days. That's just 2% below the season premiere, which attracted 21.5 million viewers in June.
More than 11 million of the finale's views came from U.S. audiences. On average, each episode of season three is drawing about 34 million views worldwide, comparable to the season two average of 35 million.
Company representatives note that the show ranks among the top three most popular series continuations in Max's history. Starring Emma D'Arcy and Matt Smith, the series continues to be a flagship release for Warner Bros. Discovery as it heads into a break before the final fourth season.
