The II Republican Ambulance Championship has started in the Zhambyl region, with 27 teams from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as medics from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, reports infohub.kz.
The competition began on August 27 and will last three days. It is held on the territory of the regional educational and health center "Moldir Bulak" in the village of Grodekovo.
On the first day, participants underwent instruction and familiarized themselves with the ambulance vehicles and medical equipment.
One of the program stages was a clinical station on triage at the ambulance level, where teams demonstrate algorithms for assessing patient conditions and making operational decisions.
"During the three days, participants undergo practical tests that assess knowledge, clinical skills, speed of decision-making, coordination and efficiency of teams in providing emergency medical care," the statement said.
The organizers are the National Coordination Center for Emergency Medicine together with the Association of Emergency Medical Care of Kazakhstan and with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In total, 27 teams participate in the championship, with Kazakhstan represented by 20 of them.
Earlier it was reported that from January to July, ambulance teams in Kazakhstan handled 5,253,200 calls, averaging about 25,000 calls per day.
