Scammers skillfully disguise themselves as professional brokers, qualified employees of major investment companies, or experienced financial experts. They lure victims with enticing promises of fabulous returns, a 100% guarantee of profit, and absolutely safe investments with no risk whatsoever.
The scam scheme is built in stages: first, the victim is asked to deposit a small initial amount, after which a fake website or a specially created mobile app visually demonstrates a fictitious growth of the balance and an increase in funds. Subsequently, under various fabricated pretexts, such as an urgent need to increase investments, mandatory payment of a commission, or depositing funds to unlock a personal account, the fraudsters demand new money transfers.
As soon as the victim attempts to withdraw the earned funds, the web resource suddenly stops working, the user's account is instantly blocked, and the so-called financial consultant disappears forever and stops communicating.
How to effectively protect yourself from financial scammers:
Do not trust tempting promises of incredibly high returns accompanied by a 100% guarantee.
Beware of dubious offers to instantly multiply your capital several times over in just a couple of days.
Do not succumb to psychological pressure and do not trust individuals who insistently push you to make important decisions in a hasty, lightning-fast manner.
Under no circumstances transfer money at the behest of people you barely know or complete strangers.
It is strictly forbidden to disclose confidential data of your bank card, secret CVV codes, and SMS codes received in messages to anyone.
Refrain from clicking on suspicious internet links and never install unknown or unverified applications on your devices.
