Sleep tourism is gaining popularity in Japan, focusing on restoring energy and improving the quality of guests' nighttime rest. More and more hotels are offering special wellness programs to tourists, reports infohub.kz.
For example, at the capital's Hotel 1899 Tokyo, guests fill out a short questionnaire, after which they are provided with a personalized herbal tea blend, as well as high-tech pillows and bath salts. Another complex, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, uses portable sensors to read brain waves during sleep, and in-house medical specialists give recommendations based on the analysis results.
The trend is also becoming popular at resorts across the country: at the rural Malibu Hotel in Kanagawa Prefecture, mattresses are selected for each guest based on their individual habits and preferred sleeping positions. Experts note that such services help travelers disconnect from gadgets and compensate for accumulated stress.
