The long-awaited Kanye West concert at the Central Stadium in Almaty kicked off without incident, reports infohub.kz.
After yesterday's postponement, blackout, and bad weather, many fans doubted the show would happen. However, the sound and lighting equipment, as well as the sphere that had deflated due to wind the day before, are working properly. The audience is thrilled and sharing footage of the hit songs Kanye performed on stage. Social media posts read: "Looks like this time we'll get through without any force majeure."
Let's see what the world-class star's performance in Almaty will be remembered for. Perhaps something special or quirky will happen, like at J.Lo's concert in August last year. Back then, everyone was talking about the Almaty grasshopper that, due to its love for the singer, climbed onto her neck in front of 20,000 fans.
As Kursiv reported at the time, the artist reacted with a smile. Brushing off the insect, she continued performing without a pause, as if nothing had happened. Front-row spectators managed to capture the curious moment on video.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote about the extensive preparations for Kanye West's concert: the main equipment arrived in Kazakhstan on a dedicated cargo plane, and seven more Eurotrucks brought additional gear for the show. Some equipment was sourced in Almaty and Astana, but certain structures had to be delivered from Moscow.
