Kanye West's concerts scheduled for October 10 and 11 at the Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg may be canceled. The stadium's administration has officially stated that no lease agreement for the shows was signed, according to infohub.kz.
In an official statement posted on the Gazprom Arena's Instagram, it said: "Due to the increased number of inquiries regarding the organization of Kanye West's concert, we officially inform you that Gazprom Arena was not and is not the organizer of this event. This was handled by the Moscow concert agency Say Agency. Gazprom Arena has not signed any contracts for the rental of the stadium for this event. No such contract exists. Therefore, the concert cannot take place at our venue."
The event organizers have already responded to the stadium's statement. As reported by Radio RBC, Say Agency stated: "We are trying to contact the venue to find out the reason for the post and resolve the issue."
It is worth recalling that Kanye West recently flew to Almaty: his reaction to Kazakh dances was captured on video. Attendees of the Almaty concert, which was scheduled for August 14, were informed of its postponement. The concert took place the next day. The rapper's performance lasted about two hours, complete with fireworks and a laser show. Later, producer Bayan Alaguzova wrote a series of controversial posts about Kanye West's concert.
