A resident of Kazakhstan has rushed to publicly apologize and delete his posts after his offensive comment under the news of the death of 19-year-old Madina Rashidkyzy drew the attention of human rights activists, reports infohub.kz.
The scandal erupted over a user's remark claiming the girl supposedly 'died right' for provoking a conflict over a child's cake. Now lawyers demand that the commenter be held accountable for publicly justifying violence.
The tragedy in the Zhambyl region, where a 19-year-old mother of a 10-month-old child died after a domestic quarrel, has caused wide resonance across the country. However, among the many words of sympathy on social media, an aggressive outburst from one user appeared.
'It's right that she died. Would a normal person eat a child's chocolate? Eating chocolate like a child...' he wrote under a post about the tragedy.
Lawyer Ayanhan Omarov sharply reacted to these words. He stated that such comments are not 'personal opinion' but a dangerous precedent and a direct justification of abuse. The lawyer called on law enforcement to identify the account owner and give a legal assessment of their actions.
Realizing that the matter could end with a police summons, the commenter deleted previous posts and published a defensive post: 'I apologize for this post. My goal was not this... I apologize for not being able to fully convey my thought and wrote mistakenly.'
However, Kaznet users did not believe in the sincerity of the repentance, believing that the guy was simply afraid of a fine or real prison time.
The tragic death of 19-year-old Madina Rashidkyzy in the Zhambyl region, who left behind a 10-month-old child, has grown into a loud resonance. While police investigate the case under the article on incitement to suicide, the mother of the deceased speaks of severe beatings.
According to law enforcement, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the girl's death under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan ('Incitement to suicide'). However, the relatives of the deceased categorically do not believe in the suicide version.
Madina's mother told journalists that her daughter was regularly manipulated and subjected to force. The girl was abducted two years ago when she was 17. Her 23-year-old husband was unemployed, and domestic conflicts regularly erupted in the family.
'When I arrived, they didn't even tell me right away that my daughter had died. None of the in-laws expressed condolences or came to the funeral. My daughter's body was covered in bruises, scratches on her legs, grass in her hair. I am sure she was dragged and beaten. On August 13, Madina called and cried: the scandal and assault started because she ate a child's dessert 'Barney',' the mother of the deceased said.
Screenshots of correspondence are also circulating on social media, in which the girl, a day before the tragedy, complained to friends about another beating by her husband.
