Kazakhmys Copper, owned by businessmen Vladimir Kim and Eduard Ogay, has again announced the delisting of its shares from the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). This is the second attempt in recent months, according to the website infohub.kz.

According to KASE, on August 4, the shareholder of Kazakhmys Copper, KCC Copper Limited, decided to voluntarily delist its common shares from the official list. The exact date of the delisting has not yet been determined.

This is not the company's first attempt to leave KASE. The initial delisting announcement was made on April 14, but the decision was reversed just 10 days later. The suspension may have been related to dividend payments: for 2025, Kazakhmys Copper paid out 399.6 billion tenge in dividends out of 811.8 billion tenge in net profit.

Kazakhmys Copper manages copper assets previously owned by the Kazakhmys corporation before its sale to Nurlan Artykbaev, owner of the construction company Qazaq Stroy. In January 2025, Qaz Copper Group was established as part of Kazakhmys Copper, consolidating some of the former Kazakhmys assets, including the Aidarly deposit in the Abai region and the Ozernoye deposit in the Ulytau region.

The sole owner of Kazakhmys Copper is the private company KCC Copper Limited, owned by Kazakhmys Holding Limited. The co-owners of the latter are Vladimir Kim (70%) and Eduard Ogay (30%).
