Kazakhstan's national team wrapped up its performance at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Germany, finishing 11th in the team standings. In the group all-around, the Kazakh gymnasts placed 13th and failed to qualify for the event finals, reports infohub.kz.

In the group exercises, the country was represented by Aizere Kenes, Zhasmin Zhunusbayeva, Kristina Chepulskaya, Madina Myrzabay, Aizere Nurmagambetova, and Aida Khakimzhanova.

In the group all-around, the Kazakh team scored 51.050 points across two routines. They received 24.900 points for the five balls exercise and 26.150 for the three hoops and two pairs of clubs routine. This result placed them 13th.

The world champions in the group all-around were the gymnasts from Spain, who scored 57.450 points. Japan took silver with 56.700, and Brazil claimed bronze with 55.500.

These three teams also earned the first group quotas for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. According to World Gymnastics qualification rules, the top three countries in the group all-around at the 2026 World Championships were awarded berths.

In the five balls qualification, Kazakhstan finished 13th with 24.900 points. To advance to the final, they needed to be in the top eight. Brazil took the last qualifying spot with 26.800.

In the three hoops and two pairs of clubs routine, Kazakhstan placed 12th with 26.150 points. However, this was also insufficient to continue medal contention: Uzbekistan took eighth place with 27.250.

Thus, on the final day of the World Championships, Kazakhstan will not be represented in the group event finals.

Based on performances in the individual qualification and group all-around, Kazakhstan accumulated a total of 266.650 points and finished 11th in the overall team standings.

First place went to the Russian team, competing under a neutral flag, with 278.300 points. Bulgaria took silver with 276.050, and China rounded out the top three with 275.400. Kazakhstan was 8.750 points behind third place.

Earlier, 16-year-old Akmaral Yerekesheva finished sixth in the all-around final with 115.800 points. On Sunday, August 16, she will compete in the clubs and ribbon finals.

The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships are taking place in Frankfurt, Germany, from August 12 to 16, with athletes from 78 countries. A total of nine medal sets will be awarded. The full roster of the Kazakh team is available here.

At the Asian Championships held in May in Bishkek, the Kazakh team won five silver and four bronze medals.
