According to the Defense Ministry's press service, Major General Aidos Myrzakhmetov, head of the defense agency, received the initiative group of relatives of service members who died or sustained severe injuries during military service in various years.

The meeting was also attended by the chief military prosecutor and representatives of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"The Defense Ministry understands the concerns of the relatives and extends its deep condolences to every family of a deceased or injured service member. Every appeal requires careful consideration and concrete answers," Defense Minister Aidos Myrzakhmetov said.

As the press service emphasized, Myrzakhmetov promised to personally review each case and examine the materials submitted.

Recall that in September 2025, several parents of Kazakh citizens who died or were injured in the army came to Astana and also stood outside the House of Ministries. They did not believe the official version of their sons' deaths.

In November of the same year, mothers of sons who died in the army held a rally in Astana and demanded answers to their questions. The Defense Ministry responded to their questions at that time.
